Summary
Eight months after the story ended in the first movie the Re-Animator, Dr. Herbert West and his reluctant partner Dr. Dan Cain rejuvenate the quest for creating life when they discover a new ingredient for the re-animation serum in the tropics. West isn't just re-animating dead corpses anymore, he has now started mixing and matching body parts. His grand scheme is to create a new life from individual body parts that each have a unique story. But of course things don't go smoothly as usual. First, Cain has a new girlfriend, Francesca, to preoccupy him while West continues his work alone. A nosy cop, Leiutenant Chapham, won't get off their backs, and suspects they have a lot more to do with the Miskatonic massacre (the climax of the first movie, The Re-Animator) than they let on. And last, the morgue where the massacre took place is now under the charge of Dr. Graves, and when Lt. Chapham shows up with the apparently dead but unnaturally preserved head of Dr. Hill in a bag you know things are getting hairy. Dr. Hill has a little cosmetic surgery and gets bat wings attached to his head! Meanwhile West and Cain have gathered all the body parts they need to create new life in the form of a woman - the crucial part being the heart of Cain's former girlfriend Megan Halsey. But when the constructed woman is raised from the dead, Cain rejects her because he realizes she is not Megan reborn (not to mention he's got a real woman, Francesca, who's much hotter!). But the party is just getting started because the flying head of Dr. Hill arrives at the house with his entourage of undead to exact his revenge on West. In Re-Animator fashion total mayhem erupts. West, Cain and Francesca escape through a hole in the basement wall into an adjoining crypt. Ironically, the discarded body parts and experiments West has been dumping in the crypt end up attacking and restraining him as the ceiling collapses. Cain and Francesca manage to escape to the surface, and once again the movie ends with us believing it's the end of Dr. West and Dr. Hill...again.

Zombie Traits

Speed 2 (Human)
Intelligence 4 (Human)
Strength 3 (Hulk Hogan)
Zombie Sourcere-animation serum

According to Herbert West, the essence of life exists in all parts of the body. The "zombies" aren't just "people", they can be constructed from any human tissue. Aside from that, the zombies that are people range from apparent lunatics to intellectuals (but smart in a mad scientist way!)

Memorable Scene
Dr. West builds a little creature by using wire to put four fingers, a thumb and an eyeball together!
