Dawn of the Dead
For me this film directed by George A. Romero in 1978 is the ultimate zombie movie (see the review). Maybe I'm biased because this is the movie that first exposed me to the awesome world of zombies, but nobody can deny this is one of the best. Despite being made in 1978 it still holds up today. Hell, even Romero's modern movie Land of the Dead doesn't measure up to it (in fact I prefer the modern remake Dawn of the Dead 2004).
